The 4-blade Windmill

The 4-blade Windmill

During the development of the Ghazipur windmill in India there appeared to be a need for a smaller and cheaper windmill. Then, the 4-wick was constructed from scrap materials. This mill is cheap and can pump water from little depths (several meters). The windmill is easy to transport and suitable for pumping irrigation water from a canal. When the wind force is small, the windmill won’t run, because it has only four wings.
